I’m back
I’m back and I’m so happy. I love this blog. I love this blog and I love blogging. I wanted to return earlier but it took me longer than I thought to change the theme. I had to find a theme I liked, and even though there were a couple nice candidates there was always something bothering me, and since I am no css master there’s only so much I can custom, so first find a nice theme and tweak it a little, then tweak it some more, change nearly everything really – and I am not sure I am finished with that either, I feel I want to simplify even further, probably discard the sidebar altogether, but I’ll do that as I go along, it’s quite nice as it is now – and so it feels like a new blog, I am totally excited and it is going to be more personal too…
Plus last week I dowloaded this great plugin by Matt Mullenweg called random redirect on WordPress and it is the coolest thing ever. When you click on the link it takes you to a random post on the blog. How fun is that?
I have put the link on the top of the page, just below the search box, and those might well be the only things I keep aside from the posts…
the white files

I had been thinking about it for some time, I bought the domain name only recently and put the site online these last few days, but I have just posted my first article so I can officially declare “the white files” open.
I may love color a lot, the truth is I have also always loved white like crazy. Whenever I have to buy an object, if it exists in white chances are I will end up choosing that. And most of all I have come to realize while writing for “a thing of beauty…” that every time I came across beautiful white stuff, there was always always that little breathtaking moment…
So this will be some sort of experiment, a journey into white, and I do hope to live up to the project.

I can’t believe it’s been so long since my last post, but I have been very busy elsewhere and the truth is I kind of needed a break from this blog for a little while. I just thought it would be shorter… So I really want to apologize to all the people who wrote to me through the contact page (I got your messages in my email) and be sure that I will write back to everyone.
But back to “things of beauty” !

Je suis désolée, mais suite au transfert un peu compliqué de mon blog ce week-end (lire ce post) j’ai décidé de ne plus écrire “a thing of beauty…” qu’en anglais. J’ai depuis le début écrit ce blog d’abord en anglais pour ensuite réécrire les articles en français, mais le processus je dois dire était un peu pesant. Pour simplifier, j’arrête la “traduction” française.

hello world !
Ahah, I love that one “Hello World!”. For this is exactly what I feel like saying right now.
You see, I lost my internet connection – and consenquently my phone + I don’t have a cell phone – for a whole week which was bad enough since I had experienced not later than last July 3 weeks without the internet as a result of a broken connection and had at the time already come to the conclusion that I just couldn’t, and wouldn’t, live without the internet.
So, here I was again completely lost and feeling cut out from the world, and of course it was during that week my web hosting service notified me that I had exceeded the allocated bandwith for this blog for the month of February so I was in that bar with my laptop and the Wi-Fi card I bought last July and decided I had better upgrade my offer right now, so I did and I think I made a pretty good job out of it, but – and this is where the plot thikens, for without a “but” there would be no story here – apparently something went wrong with WordPress during the process…
