About A thing of beauty
It has always been my standpoint that whenever you have to buy something - anything - you should buy something you find beautiful rather than plain common stuff you don’t really notice and, most importantly, that you should never ever settle for anything you don’t like.
Beautiful objects can really enlighten your life. There is positive energy, vibrations - or whatever you call it - in any object you find beautiful because whenever you set your eyes on beauty it usually makes you feel good.
And when you know where to look, beauty is everywhere. Really. But sometimes it can be tough or at least time consuming to find it.
This is what this blog is about. Simple beautiful stuff for everyday life you can find on the web. Because there are so many talented people out there.
About me
My name is Anne and I live in Paris, France.
Around March 2006, as I was searching on the internet for plushes and toys to make photos, I stumbled upon ARTOYZ thus discovering Art Toys. Needless to say I fell in love right away. I have been collecting vinyl toys ever since - although I don’t like to call myself a collector.
I love Tim Biskup, Rolito, Michael Lau, James Jarvis, MARS-1 and a lot more. Plus I have this irrational crush on Be@rbricks.
In the course of my toy addiction, I recently discovered Blythe dolls, and with them a whole world of handmade things I had no idea you could find on the internet. Simple, beautiful stuff. I came across that wonderful site ETSY and it then struck me what extraordinary tool the internet was for people to show what they do, to actually show their work to a lot more people than just their friends and family.
I have decided to create this blog because I like sharing the things I love, and I believe that what I love may also appeal to some people. This is why I am writing in English, to be able to share with as many people as possible, although you must understand that it is not my mother language. So I ask you not to be too harsh on me as regards to my writing.
Please write to me if you have any comments, remarks, links to share, and if you make beautiful stuff, feel free to drop me a line about you and your work.
